Throughout the Master, mentoring and personal pathway guidance will be offered. The master provides tailor made programmes to all students. Questions on decision making are crucial. The student continuously needs to self-reflect and self-assess. Mentoring and guidance, not only in the home institution, but also in the partner institutions, will carry on throughout the programme. The mentoring description can be found here.
The mentoring framework can be found here.
During the pilot year all schools piloted the mentoring part of the programme. In addition to 2008, mentoring trainning took place on the island Schiermonnikoog. Besides, some mentoring training took place on 6-10 April 2009 on the island of Schiermonnikoog, The Netherlands, where the Joint Masters’ mentors were joined by some of the other staff that will be involved in the delivery of the programme. Creative Learning Consultant Peter Renshaw was invited to lead some inspiring sessions on the development of co-mentoring relationships. Moreover, the mentors discussed ways of disseminating the programme in- and outside the schools, including a session covering the joint PR of the programme.
