Development Process
The development of the joint master consisted of four phases:
1. Setting up the overall organizational framework This phase took place from 1 October 2006 till 1 December 2006 and consisted of the creation of the working groups, organization of support, creation of the website, etc.
2. Initial development took place from 1 December 2006 till 1 October 2007. Activities in this phase were focused on curriculum development and development of quality assurance.
3. Further development took place from 1 October 2007 till 1 October 2008. The curriculum was further developed, the ICT infrastructure is completed and students for the pilot year are recruited. Quality assurance is further fine-tuned.
4. Implementation and testing took place from 1 October 2008 till 1 October 2009. In this phase the curriculum was tested. In each of the partner institutions pilots took place, including pilots with external partners, which were evaluated during the group meetings.
